Job Title: Care and Support Professional

In our organization, we are seeking a skilled Care and Support Professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing clinical support services to improve workplace mental health and manage traumatic incidents.

This role involves offering consultation, training, counseling, and care for employees. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with staff members at all levels.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing counseling to staff who seek support and linking them to suitable agencies for ongoing care.
  • Responding to workplace incidents that affect employees' mental health.
  • Deploying peer supporters to address reported incidents.
  • Monitoring the progression of incidents and making necessary recommendations.
  • Offering advice and support to management on issues related to employee welfare and crisis intervention.
  • Developing policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Peer Support Program (PSP).
  • Overseeing and supervising peer support group members and their activities.
  • Planning and preparing budgets for fiscal submission, ensuring that funds are utilized efficiently and remain within forecasted amounts.

In the event of a Civil Disaster, Emergency, or Crisis, the successful candidate will be required to take on additional roles and responsibilities, including:

  • Overseeing the operation of the peer support crisis team during activation.
  • Collaborating with Emergency Operations.
  • Scheduling group crisis interventions as needed, such as debriefings or Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD).
  • Providing emotional support to crisis team members.
  • Arranging for operational and psychological debriefings for activated crisis team members after the situation has stabilized.

  • A Master's in counseling or postgraduate degree in psychology is preferred.

This is an Executive-level position with a Contract employment type and Health Care Provider job function. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Hospitals and Healthcare industries.
