Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at GMP Recruitment Services (S) Pte Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and machine learning, with experience in the semiconductor industry.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist to work on complex data sets and develop advanced algorithms to extract insights. You will partner with field engineering teams to analyze data from plasma etching systems and provide timely, meaningful, and accurate analysis results. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, presenting complex data analysis findings or results to stakeholders in a concise and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and implement data-driven solutions to support customer issue troubleshooting, utilizing statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to identify root causes and provide actionable insights for resolution.
  • Partner with field engineering teams to analyze data from plasma etching systems and provide timely, meaningful, and accurate analysis results to support data-driven improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams, present complex data analysis findings or results to stakeholders in a concise, effective, and understandable manner.
  • Develop advance statistical and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from large and complex data sets, and work with internal engineering team to evaluate the effectiveness of the algorithms.
  • Collaborate with global data engineering teams to share best practices and work on cross-functional projects that require data science expertise.
  • Manage and maintain the internal analytics solutions, supporting continuous development and implementation, and ensuring that data integrity and accuracy are always maintained.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for local engineers on data analytics skills such as JMP/KNIME & Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree/Master in Microelectronics, Data Science or a related field with Minimum 3 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, semiconductor fabrication factory, semiconductor parts/peripherals or related industry.
  • Proven working experience as a Data Scientist in the semiconductor industry with a focus on plasma dry Etch process.
  • Ability to develop and implement algorithms for process optimization and problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of data analytics methodologies, statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in using various data science tool sets and programming skills (e.g., Python, JSL, R etc.) for data manipulation, visualization, and analysis.
