Data Scientist for Plasma Etch Process Optimization

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the semiconductor industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the optimization of plasma etch processes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with expertise in developing and deploying algorithms for process optimization and problem-solving.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

The salary for this position is SGD 120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy advanced statistical and machine learning models to analyze complex data sets and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with field engineering teams to design and implement experiments to test new process conditions and optimize existing ones.
  • Communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
  • Partner with global data engineering teams to share best practices and work on cross-functional projects that require data science expertise.
  • Manage and maintain internal analytics solutions, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microelectronics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including manufacturing equipment, fabrication facilities, semiconductor components, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Scientist within the semiconductor industry, with specific expertise in plasma dry etch processes.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying algorithms for process optimization and problem-solving.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics, statistical methodologies, machine learning techniques, and predictive modeling.
  • Proficient in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, JSL, R) for data processing, visualization, and analysis.
