Project Manager, Fare System-Bus

At Careers@Gov, we are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for commuters using buses and MRT/LRT. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic project team responsible for delivering the AFC system, which will be developed for commuters using buses and MRT/LRT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and implementation of new initiatives on Bus Ticketing System and Back Office System.
  • Lead a team of project staffs to deliver the AFC system within budget and schedule.
  • Manage contractors and contracts on the asset replacement/renewal and conduct proper risk assessment.
  • Develop and implement a development schedule for in-house developed applications.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology / Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
  • A profession certificate in project management such as CITPM or PMP will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience in related work.
  • Good domain knowledge of revenue collection systems or e-payment systems.
  • Self-initiated, proactive, good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated team player with a positive work attitude.
