Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for commercial success?

We are seeking an accomplished Commercial and Trade Lead to join our team.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for leading all commercial activities across Asia to East Africa. You will work closely with our Asian Regional Director and Line Management to ensure alignment with group objectives and maximize regional commercial performance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales & Agency Network Management: Lead Westbound sales across core services to drive vessel utilization from Asia to East-Africa. Direct and support sales agents across Asia to pursue profitable cargo opportunities and enhance customer engagement.
  • Trade & Pricing Strategy: Manage space allocation to maximize utilization and yield. Provide recommendations for pricing strategy based on market trends and benchmarking.
  • Commercial Development & Strategic Accounts: Strengthen relationships with strategic customers to boost volume contribution from Asia. Cultivate and maintain key customer accounts and represent the company in strategic engagements across Asia.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role with a focus on commercial activities.
  • A good understanding of container shipping trade dynamics and experience in Africa Trade is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of driving commercial success and managing high-performing teams.
