About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our team at OCBC. As a key member of our Group Legal & Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance Advice: Provide expert advice to corporate functions on regulatory compliance matters, including FATCA and CRS.
  • Liaison with Regulators: Act as the liaison with regulators on regulatory compliance matters, including inspection and thematic reviews, responding to information requests and surveys.
  • Implementation of Regulatory Requirements: Drive the implementation of new regulatory requirements relating to various corporate functions.
  • Regulatory Breach Management: Manage breach reporting process and track completion of rectification actions.
  • Regulatory Library Management: Maintain the library of regulations and its relevance to relevant functions.
  • Regulatory Development Tracking: Collate and track regulatory developments and significant issues of corporate functions.
  • Regulatory Compliance Policies and Procedures: Prepare and review regulatory compliance policies and procedures of the bank.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Degree qualifications, with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance in a bank or external audit focusing on audit of financial institutions in the areas of corporate functions.
  • Regulatory Technical Skills: Strong regulatory technical skills in respect of MAS regulations and FATCA, CRS.
  • Analytical and Interpretation Skills: Strong analytical and interpretation skills.
  • Stakeholder Management Skills: Strong stakeholder management skills to bring about meeting of minds across many units across the bank.
  • Leadership and Organization Skills: Proven leadership, organization and facilitation skills.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactivity and Resourcefulness: Proactive, independent and resourceful.
