Job Title: Loan Operations Specialist - Private Banking

Cathay United Bank is seeking a highly skilled Loan Operations Specialist to join our Private Banking team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling Private Banking Loan documentation and processing Corporate and Private Banking loans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and check Private Banking loan documentation, including Facility Letters and security documents, as the primary role, with a secondary role in handling and checking Corporate Banking Loans.
  • Ensure all condition precedents are met before proceeding to setup of limit, working closely with relationship managers, in-house and exterior legal counsel.
  • Liaise with solicitors, property valuers, insurers, and brokers to ensure required due diligence and documents are duly executed and performed.
  • Perform UAT testing, day-to-day processing of new loan drawdowns, and rollover of loans in Avaloq.
  • Monitor and escalate MER Report breaches to relevant departments.
  • Maintain checks and implement limits in Avaloq.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' related working experience within the Banking industry, particularly in PB loans documentation.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English/Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking headquarter counterparties.
Education:
  • Minimum a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
