Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description:

  • Carry out engineering design with minimal supervision in accordance with local codes or relevant international design code and standards.
  • Assume responsibility and undertake engineering tasks of increasing scope and complexity.
  • Responsible for analysis of information, production of design, tenders, proposals and technical report writing.
  • Assist in coordination of quality assurance and commissioning of designs with other disciplines and other design consultants.
  • Observe, review and report of works on site.
  • Handle client liaison and reporting.
  • Provide leadership to projects including planning, monitoring, progress and job cost reporting.
  • Assist in assessment and review of designs prepared by others on behalf of the clients.
  • Liaise with authorities on plans submission and compliance.
  • To work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop electrical building services designs and calculations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore will be an advantage).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the design & supervision of building service projects.
  • Experience in a consultancy environment.
  • Experience in leading roles for design & design management of healthcare, residential, commercial, institutional or hotel projects will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
  • Competent user with relevant engineering software, Building Information Modelling and Navisworks.
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
  • Able to work independently & exercise initiative.
