Job Title: Senior Network Security Specialist

Main Purpose: The primary objective of this role is to ensure the security, stability, and integrity of our network infrastructure by implementing effective patch management and vulnerability remediation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer network devices, including Cisco, Fortinet, and F5 equipment, to maintain optimal performance and security.
  • Conduct thorough patch assessments and recommend deployment strategies to minimize downtime and risk.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline pre- and post-patching tasks, reducing manual effort and increasing efficiency.
  • Bios upgrades and firmware updates on network devices to ensure compatibility and security.
  • Maintain log files and perform regular monitoring to detect potential security threats.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in network and firewall administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working in a Service Level Agreement (SLA) driven environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard technologies, including ACI, Cisco, Arista, F5, Checkpoint, and Paloalto.
  • Patch management and vulnerability management expertise.
  • Troubleshooting skills for patching and firmware upgrade-related issues.
  • Extensive experience with ESXi patching.
  • Familiarity with patch management tools like NetBot and other similar tools.
  • Proficiency in Cisco Platforms (IOS/IOS-XE).
  • Understanding of network flows.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of DNS/DHCP/IPAM.
  • Solid experience with switching (VLAN, bundling mechanisms, Ethernet, STP flavors) and routing (BGP/OSPF/EIGRP).
  • Good exposure to standard and extended access lists.
