Materials Engineer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting materials and corrosion engineering activities, including site surveys, technical assurance practices, and environmental and safety policies.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct materials and corrosion engineering activities and in-house site surveys for projects from initial concept definition phase through to engineering studies, FEED, detailed design, and commissioning.
  • Ensure company technical assurance practices, engineering standards, environmental, and safety policies are incorporated and followed in work scopes and during materials and corrosion engineering activities.
  • Review technical deviations and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices.
  • Support the Engineering Department to review, update, and apply company standards and amendments to external standards.
  • Plan and coordinate activities of a multidiscipline team of engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet project requirements.
  • Coordinate engineering designs, develop, and review multi-disciplinary work scopes for projects and other engineering activities ensuring comprehensive and clear work scopes.
  • Review and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance. Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issues.
  • Develop, update, and monitor schedules for in-house engineering activities, contribute to external FEED/EPIC scheduling activities, and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status or equivalent.
  • 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, of which 6 years should be related to Oil and Gas industry.
  • Ability to identify and utilize relevant engineering standards and codes related to Materials and Corrosion Engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in engineering projects within a multiple-project environment.
  • Good communication and presentation skills with fluency in English.
