Job Title: Piping Material Expert

Senior Piping Material Engineer required for a challenging role in the Oil and Gas sector.

A leading organization seeks a skilled professional to oversee piping material engineering activities on upstream projects, including FPSO and HPHT services. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in design and procurement of piping materials, as well as strong knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, API, and European Regulations.

The selected individual will be responsible for managing technical interfaces with equipment and package suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to present technical issues to design teams, client representatives, and approving bodies. Self-motivation and independence are key qualities, as the role requires minimal supervision and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Manage piping material engineering activities on upstream projects, including design, procurement, and installation.

Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards (ASME, API, etc.).

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.

Maintain accurate records of materials, documentation, and technical data.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Provide expert advice on piping material selection, compatibility, and integrity.

Skill and Qualification Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Material Engineering or equivalent qualification.

At least 12 years of experience in piping material engineering, preferably in the upstream oil and gas sector.

Proven track record in design and procurement of piping materials, including specification development and supplier management.

Strong understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Self-motivated, independent, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Navisworks.

Experience with FPSO and HPHT services is highly desirable.
