Communications Manager

We are seeking a skilled communications professional to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for developing and executing effective communication strategies that align with our goals and objectives.

Your role will involve supporting the leadership team in leading the digital communications function, as well as working on specific projects or taskforces assigned by leadership.

  • Be the brand custodian of the organization, engaging in media and public relations, and working with stakeholders on response plans in crisis management.
  • Unify and align everyday messaging according to our ethos, vision, goals, and priorities.
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel communication strategy driven by our mission/vision/values using appropriate channels, both new and conventional, to communicate to stakeholders.
  • Plan and manage our communications calendar, resources, and budget.
  • Oversee day-to-day communication function, liaising with various teams to update and maintain our digital presence.
  • Partner with teams to create communications plans to mobilize their specific audiences to respond.
  • Ensure high-quality and high-impact communications reach both internal and external audiences.
  • Develop and/or oversee processes and tools that foster effective communications flow.
  • Work with stakeholders to provide publicity support for events.

Digital Communications (Digital Team)

  • Provide strategic leadership and support for digital communications, ensuring alignment with our digital strategy.
  • Lead messaging and strategy for social media advertising campaigns.
  • Manage engaging content across social media and the website, overseeing online services, capturing impactful stories, and monitoring performance to optimize digital outreach.

Design & Brand Management

  • Lead the design of creative and effective art and promotional materials for organizational activities, ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand representation.
  • Oversee our visual identity, including usage of logos and images.
  • Safeguard our corporate branding while addressing potential issues and collaborating with stakeholders on response plans.

Team Development

  • Build and guide a team of staff and volunteers to implement effective communication strategies across all teams.

Requirements

  • Serving your full-time call to ministry.
  • Passionate about leveraging communications to reach people.
  • Degree in Communications, Media, or related field, with at least 4 years of communications experience.
  • Dependable, responsible, independent, and resourceful, proactively looking for ways to pursue excellence.
  • Strong and meticulous team player with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading skills.
  • Social media savvy with reasonable knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital/social media.
  • Equipped with sound analytical, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Good project management skills to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Able to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels.
  • Good track record of leadership experience and proven ability in a similar capacity.
  • Operational knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, and HTML will be a plus.
