Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the safe, efficient, and timely distribution of drugs.

The Pharmacy Technician will perform various duties under the supervision of pharmacists, including dispensing medicines to patients according to department policies and guidelines.

  • Provide professional and courteous service to all patients/customers
  • Process medication orders/prescriptions for both inpatient and outpatient
  • Picking, packing, and labeling in accordance with stipulated policies, guidelines, and department standard operating procedures
  • Perform billing functions
  • Ensure work area is ready for daily operations
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy and ward areas where drugs are stored
  • Involvement in workplace quality improvement projects/activities as and when required
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
  • Completed Basic Skill Test or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC)
  • Initiative and ability to work independently to achieve goals of the department
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to function effectively as member of a team
  • Flexibility to work on weekends/public holidays occasionally
