This is a highly skilled position that requires a deep understanding of standard operating procedures and the ability to work independently. The facilities engineer will be responsible for performing specialized preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and/or systems.


The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience in a related field, such as facilities management or engineering. A high school diploma is also required. Additionally, the candidate should have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and strong communication skills.


Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:


  • Performing specialized preventative and corrective maintenance on-site to critical facility components and/or systems.
  • Performing moderately difficult repairs, maintenance, installations, and on-site inspections to critical facility systems.
  • Monitoring the Building Monitoring System (BMS) and resolving alarms for specialized issues requiring considerable judgment and implications to resolve.
  • Operating and maintaining plumbing, fire suppression, and life-safety systems.
  • Implementing energy efficiency measures.
  • Assisting team members with coordinating critical infrastructures.
  • Working on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Understanding implications of work and making recommendations for solutions.

Additionally, the facilities engineer will be responsible for collaborating with others to resolve difficult facility incidents, effectively collaborating within the department, and mentoring team members on skilled maintenance activities.
