Demand Planning Strategist

Description

The Demand Planning Strategist leads the demand planning process to ensure accurate forecasting, effective inventory management, and alignment between sales, marketing, and supply chain functions. This role analyzes historical data, market trends, and business intelligence to build reliable demand forecasts that support business growth and operational efficiency.

This key role is responsible for developing and managing the demand forecast for assigned product categories using statistical models, sales inputs, and market intelligence. It leverages root cause analysis and corrective action plans to improve forecasting accuracy.

The Demand Planning Strategist partners with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate business insights into demand plans. Collaborates with supply planning to ensure demand forecasts are translated into accurate production and inventory plans.

The successful candidate will monitor demand KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory turns) and proposes improvements. Provides demand insights to support business decision-making and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting

    Develops and manages the demand forecast for assigned product categories using statistical models, sales inputs, and market intelligence.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    Partners with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate business insights into demand plans.
  • Analytics & Reporting

    Monitors demand KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, service levels, inventory turns) and proposes improvements.
