Quantum Experimentation Specialist

The Center for Quantum Technology at NTU is seeking a Research Assistant to play a key role in an experimental project focused on light-matter interaction. This collaborative endeavor aims to couple light with a dense atomic medium, exploring cooperative effects with potential applications in quantum sensing.
This exciting opportunity will involve developing the experimental setup, collecting and analyzing data, and working closely with an experienced research fellow. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team operating with ultracold systems, focusing on the investigation of cooperative effects in light-matter coupling.
To achieve this goal, the atomic medium will be compressed in an optical dipole trap to attain the required density. The chosen candidate will be responsible for performing technical developments on the experimental apparatus to realize the scientific objectives.
Maintenance of the system's optimal functioning and regular reporting to the principal investigator are essential aspects of this position. Additionally, the Research Assistant will need to prepare and utilize necessary data analysis tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the experimental setup to meet the scientific goals
- Maintain the system in good working condition
- Report progress to the principal investigator on a weekly basis
- Prepare and use data analysis tools as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Physics
- At least 3 months of experience in experimental optics
