Job Description

The role of Payroll Specialist is pivotal in the Asia Pacific region, serving as a key member of the Total Rewards and Payroll Operations team. The specialist will collaborate with the APAC Total Rewards and Payroll Operations Leader to provide comprehensive Payroll Operations services for the SEA region (Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam).

Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer payroll activities to ensure compliance and accuracy on a monthly basis.
  • Identify opportunities for process digitization within payroll and implement changes accordingly.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate issues within governance timeframes.
  • Create, update, and maintain payroll standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain the Time Attendance System.
  • Collaborate with the HR Solutions Team to document processes and transfer routine administrative work.
  • Assist with HRA ticketing system issues raised in the SEA region that can be resolved without on-site presence.
  • Support annual Total Rewards processes as needed.
  • Act as a backup for APAC Payroll processes as needed.
Required Skills and QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of Payroll Operations-related experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to use pivot tables, write advanced formulas, and utilize Excel as a modeling tool.
  • Solutions-focused and client-service oriented, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality in human resources work.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English and local languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the SEA region.
  • Experience working with large-scale consulting firms or payroll outsourcing providers.
  • Familiarity with Workday and Replicon systems.
