As a key member of our team, the Crewing Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our crewing processes.
- Responsibilities:
- Coordinate interviews with senior officers and maintain accurate records for future reference.
- Verify seafarer certificates, arrange medical check-ups as required by charterers, and confirm authenticity with relevant authorities.
- Manage up-to-date personnel files for seafarers, monitoring certificate and document expirations to prevent any potential issues.
- Update crew planning and rotation lists, and ensure timely crew changes to meet the demands of our operations.
- Conduct regular crew appraisal assessments, secure signatures, and file documentation for compliance purposes.
- Liaise with crew agents and port agents for joinings and repatriations, including flight bookings and visa applications to facilitate a seamless experience.
- Process visa applications, when necessary, to enable seafarers to perform their duties abroad.
- Address crew welfare issues and manage payroll to ensure fair compensation for our staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to contribute to the success of our team.
- Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level or marine-related trade certificates to demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills.
- Maturity and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Preferable experience in offshore or marine industries to bring valuable insights and expertise.
- Ability to learn quickly, be meticulous, and adapt to overtime requirements to meet the demands of the job.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications to efficiently manage tasks and communicate with colleagues.
