Export Operations Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will provide operational support and process export documentation accurately and promptly to achieve business objectives and meet airline departure requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Processing export documentation accurately and timely for customers, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and airline flight departure cut-offs.
  • E nsuring all documentation (billing invoices, reports, AWBs, etc.) are complete, scanned in electronic documents, properly indicated, and accompany shipments according to International Air Transport Association (IATA) regulations.
  • Checking that all shipment checklists are completed, scanned, filed, and attached to shipments as per IATA regulations.
  • Meeting pharmaceutical and healthcare requirements per GDP/GDPMDS regulations and directives.
  • Completing daily closing reports at the end of each day.
  • Reviewing shipment events data and shipment manifests for timely and accurate updates to meet Operational Performance Audit objectives.
  • Sending pre-alert shipment documentation to customers and destination offices promptly.
  • Coordinating with airline terminals and warehouse vendors regarding shipment disputes or discrepancies.
  • Communicating with customer service on issues related to rates, destinations, and shipping instructions.
  • Providing 24-hour service, including after-hours, holidays, and weekends, for urgent or AOG shipments.
  • Performing shift work and rostered duties as required.
  • Declaring all types of AOG customer shipping permits in compliance with customs rules and regulations.
  • Taking on additional tasks as needed to meet department requirements.

Minimum requirements include:

  • Tertiary education with at least one year of experience in the service industry and knowledge of airfreight operations.
  • Initiative with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Good organizational skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to job responsibilities and work assignments.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft email, Excel, and Word.
  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

We offer a 5-day workweek with one off day and one rest day within a calendar week. Shift schedules may vary, but we ensure a balanced work environment.
