About the Role

As a Materials Planning Manager at Carrier, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in Materials Planning and SIOP. Your primary focus will be on executing operational plans that include storing and shipping of products, warehouse management, customer service, and ensuring quality of work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of intermediate or experienced professionals and set short-term operational plans for the team.
  • Assist the General Manager/Sales in inventory, backlog, and orders/sales forecasting management.
  • Work with customer service associates to resolve customer complaints and requirements, and provide recommendations for possible solutions.
  • Establish and maintain data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items, and other parts as required.
  • Develop and implement the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
  • Establish and maintain continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.
  • Oversee the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.
  • Track and monitor inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Manage warehousing operations, including tracking and shipping processes.
  • Develop plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensure successful customer delivery.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in Materials Planning and SIOP. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, with a strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience in customer services, warehousing, supply chain, and related industries.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to work independently and handle assignments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A proven record of successfully leading and improving business processes in an international matrix environment.
  • Broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline, with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • A university degree or equivalent experience.
