We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Underwriting Expert to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of medical assessments for life insurance products.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the medical and underwriting risk for insurability. This includes assessing risk factors, providing cardiac opinions on ECG/treadmills, complex medical conditions, and determining appropriate requirements and decisions. You will also provide medical-related and underwriting training to partners and internal stakeholders, participate in case discussions, and contribute medical expertise to the design of new insurance products.

Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience or related experience in an insurance or reinsurance company
  • Possess a medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Additional advantage to possess underwriting authority for High Net Worth products
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Good understanding of life insurance business and its financial aspects and commonly seen medical conditions locally and its treatment protocols
