Job Overview

The Autism Support Specialist will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the skill levels of clients with autism, developing and implementing personalized strategies to enhance their daily lives. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and have experience in direct support of youths and adults with autism.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of client skill levels
• Develop and implement individualized plans to address client needs
• Monitor progress and implement interventions as needed
• Manage daily activities and ensure client health and safety at all times
• Collaborate with colleagues and external parties to support program development
• Participate in home visits and meetings with parents and caregivers

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent with minimum 3 'O' level passes including English
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels in a professional manner
• Meticulous and good organizing skills
• Team player and able to work independently
• Self-motivated and keen to develop professionally
• Compassionate and patient personality
