We are seeking a highly qualified Senior English Language and Literacy Specialist to join our team at the National Institute of Education (NIE).

Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced academic with a strong background in English Language and Literacy to contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in research, establish professional connections, and undertake administrative and/or leadership roles.
Requirements- A PhD or EdD qualification in the area of English Language or Literacy from a university of good international standing.
- Experience teaching English at the primary level, preferably in Singapore schools.
- An established record of excellent teaching at the tertiary level as evidenced by student feedback on teaching.
- Experience designing, teaching, and managing courses in areas relevant to the position at the tertiary level.
- Demonstrate academic leadership and service in their university and department, and in the profession.
- Contribute to teaching and course development at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Engage in research and maintain a good publication record.
- Establish professional connections with local and international researchers and practitioners involved in the specific expertise area.
- Undertake administrative and/or leadership roles and contribute to other service-related activities at the department or institution level.
- An active and vibrant research environment and a highly collegial departmental culture.
- Excellent R&D infrastructure and opportunities for research funding.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement plan, and paid time off.
