Job Title: Exquisite Dining Service Professional

Deliver exceptional service in a high-end Japanese restaurant setting, providing fine dining experiences that exceed guest expectations. Foster a spirit of omotenashi (Japanese service) and strive for Michelin-level excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless front-of-house service, from guest welcome to farewell, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Explain seasonal course menus, Wagyu cuts, preparation methods, and ingredients to guests, highlighting the unique qualities of each dish.
  • Serve wine, sake, and beverages with pairing recommendations, showcasing expertise and knowledge of fine wines and spirits.
  • Maintain tables according to fine dining standards, ensuring a refined and polished environment.
  • Provide attentive and culturally sensitive service to international guests, responding promptly to their needs and requests.
  • Participate in pre-service briefings, service improvement discussions, and training to stay up-to-date on the latest service techniques and standards.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in fine dining restaurants, particularly those serving Japanese cuisine or Michelin-rated establishments.
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, Wagyu, sake, wine, and seasonal ingredients, including food pairings and preparation methods.
  • Sommelier or sake-related certifications (e.g., WSET, Sake Diploma) are advantageous but not required.
  • Fluency in English is essential; ability to communicate in Mandarin or Japanese is an asset when interacting with Mandarin- or Japanese-speaking guests.
  • Excellent communication and hospitality skills, with a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and cooperative attitude, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with shift-based scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Standing and active service throughout shifts, with uniform provided and staff meal included.
  • Opportunities for training in Japan or with Japanese chefs may be available, enhancing your culinary and service skills.
