Job Overview

Our esteemed restaurant is seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Staff member to deliver exceptional front-of-house service. As a key player in our high-end Japanese team, you will contribute to a world-class hospitality experience inspired by omotenashi.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing seamless dining experiences, enhancing the culinary journey through expert knowledge of seasonal course menus, Wagyu cuts, and ingredients, and elevating the guest's experience with thoughtful beverage pairings.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide attentive front-of-house service from guest welcome to farewell, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  2. Explain seasonal course menus, Wagyu cuts, preparation methods, and ingredients to guests to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the culinary experience.
  3. Serve wine, sake, and beverages with pairing recommendations to elevate the guest's dining experience.
  4. Maintain a professional demeanor, posture, and language at all times to ensure exceptional service standards.
  5. Set and maintain tables in accordance with fine dining standards to provide an elegant ambiance.
  6. Assist international guests with attentive and culturally sensitive service to create a positive and memorable experience.
  7. Respond promptly and graciously to customer requests or complaints, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  8. Participate in pre-service briefings, service improvement discussions, and training to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
  9. Maintain a clean and refined environment in accordance with hygiene and brand standards to uphold the highest quality.
Requirements
  • Experience in fine dining restaurants, particularly Japanese or Michelin-rated establishments, is essential.
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, Wagyu, sake, wine, and seasonal ingredients is crucial for providing exceptional service.
  • Sommelier or sake-related certifications (e.g., WSET, Sake Diploma) are beneficial for enhancing expertise.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese is advantageous for effective communication with international guests.
  • Excellent communication and hospitality skills are necessary for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, handling challenging situations with ease.
  • High motivation to uphold the standards of a Michelin-level restaurant is vital for success.
