Nautical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nautical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and validation of equipment during projects and repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Install, test, and validate new equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on-site or in the workshop to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment warranty and insurance purposes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Submit required documentation and reports promptly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Independently diagnose and repair equipment issues on-site or in the workshop.
  • Support and Solutions: Provide immediate support to vessels and develop solutions for safe operation.
  • Inspections and Service Work: Document inspections, maintenance, and service work to ensure quality control.
  • Deficiency Reporting: Report deficiencies in deliveries, quantities, or quality to ensure timely corrections.
  • Parts Request and Procurement: Request, install, and anticipate necessary parts for repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare technical reports for engineering, management, or sales to inform decision-making.
  • Log Review and Reporting: Review logs for open issues and prepare formal reports for customers to ensure transparency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Test Equipment proficiency to ensure accurate diagnoses and repairs.
  • Overhaul expertise to maintain equipment performance and extend lifespan.
  • Preventive Maintenance knowledge to schedule routine maintenance and prevent breakdowns.
  • Troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Engineering Management experience to coordinate equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Ships familiarity to understand vessel operations and optimize equipment performance.
  • Electrical and Marine Engineering skills to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.
  • Surveillance awareness to monitor equipment performance and detect potential issues.
  • Warranty and Electronics knowledge to manage warranty claims and repair electronic components.
  • Commissioning expertise to ensure smooth equipment integration and startup.
  • Technical Support skills to provide assistance to customers and other service professionals.
