We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing payment vouchers, receipts, and journal vouchers, ensuring timely payments to suppliers, learning and utilizing our in-house accounting system, performing accurate data entry and recording, assisting with inventory-related accounting entries, maintaining proper filing and documentation of accounting records, handling day-to-day accounting transactions, visiting banks for submission of physical documents when required, and supporting other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and journal vouchers.
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Learn and utilize our in-house accounting system.
  • Perform accurate data entry and recording.
  • Assist with inventory-related accounting entries.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting transactions.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • LCCI Certificate in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
