About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support, resolving hardware and software issues within the required SLA timeframe.
  • Servicing various devices, including desktops, laptops, workstations, mobile devices, tablets, meeting room equipment, printers, and other IT assets.
  • Coordinating with OEM vendors for repair and maintenance of defective hardware, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshooting software functionality issues, both for operating systems and standard desktop applications.
  • Implementing IMACD processes for efficient device management, including installations, moves, adds, changes, and de-installs.
  • Enhancing support for VIP users by delivering personalized assistance and resolving complex issues promptly.
  • Collaborating with infrastructure teams to resolve network, server, or other infrastructure-related issues impacting end-user productivity.
  • Supporting hardware and software changes, such as device refreshes, system upgrades, patch updates, and asset recoveries.
  • Providing smart hand support for diverse hardware types, including printers, servers, network devices, backup devices, scientific equipment, and more.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Diploma/Nitec in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of desktop support experience, preferably in an MNC environment.
  • A strong understanding of IT service management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with end-users.
