Veeam, the global leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is seeking a seasoned cyber security expert to join our team in APJ. As a Field Chief Information Security Officer, you will be responsible for helping our customers achieve radical resilience through data security, data recovery, and data freedom for their hybrid cloud environments.

This role will require you to partner with our top customer pursuit teams to win the customer's security and technical decision to select Veeam for their data protection needs. You will be the regional cyber security expert, engaged in the largest and most complicated customer scenarios, and will complement our existing technical pre-sales organization as the L400 technical resource on cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with Veeam's product marketing and competitive intelligence teams to produce enhanced playbooks to win the security discussion and Veeam's response to competitor value props.
  2. Engage with Veeam customer and partner events to articulate learnings and best practices in cyber security, data protection, and recovery.
  3. Regularly engage with Veeam product management and engineering to provide the voice of the customer perspective on security capabilities and needs that will accelerate sales.

Requirements:

  1. 12-20 years of experience across multiple cyber security disciplines and technical expertise.
  2. Has served in senior security roles, ideally such as a partner at InfoSec consultancies, managing directors at large consulting firms running the security practice, security cloud architects, or as CISO or deputy/divisional CISO.
  3. Deep understanding of regulations and norms established in APJ regarding cybersecurity, as well as international data privacy, data sovereignty, data protection agreements, and industry security standards.
  4. Ideal candidate will have published articles and whitepapers in major InfoSec journals and also keynote speaker at industry events on InfoSec topics.
  5. Deep understanding of current cybersecurity threats and modern security technologies, methodologies, applications, and processes.
  6. Deep understanding of business process, role design, checks, and balances in IT operations to make security a way of doing business.
  7. Experience performing technical architecture assessments to identify gaps or potential threat-vectors.
  8. Certifications in Information Security, e.g., GSEC, GISP, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, or other security relevant accreditations.
  9. Experience in delivering product security in one or more public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  10. Experience in securely operating highly distributed systems with published SLAs.
