The Role

You are passionate about negotiating deals, being part of a Global Department delivering top quality service and advice. Our inventive and dynamic Procurement Department is looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join its Asia Pacific team.

You will build and manage relationships with our internal clients and the vendors who support our requirements across the whole Asia Pacific region. You will need to show good knowledge of procurement principles, strong negotiating skills, and an eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine specifications and requirements for products and services through communication with internal stakeholders and strategic plans.
  • Lead local sourcing opportunities including RFPs, direct negotiations, etc., and use market research from internal and external sources to drive sourcing decisions.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and thresholds set by the Chief Procurement Officer.
  • Negotiate and implement contractual agreements in partnership with internal customers and Legal departments.
  • Manage vendor bases to ensure contractual compliance and financial efficiency.
  • Review Strategic Plans with the Sourcing Team to better serve the company as a whole.
  • Build strong relationships with internal clients and vendor bases.
  • Provide support to the team to deliver first-class customer service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in procurement and/or sourcing roles with indirect category exposure.
  • Experience in commercial and contractual negotiations, competitive market analysis, and ongoing supplier performance management/scorecards in commercial environments.
  • Business proficiency in English and Japanese to support strategic sourcing in Japan markets.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualifications CIPS or combination of education and work experience.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Strong contractual knowledge and negotiation skills understanding of contract law and applicable legislation.
  • Able to interact effectively in cross-functional environments with all levels of executive management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated career growth within organizations.

Preferred Skills:

  • SAP, e-Builder, and/or other ERP experience.
  • Experience across multiple sourcing categories.
  • Strong language skills.
