Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct functional behaviour analysis and develop Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs) to provide targeted support to students with autism.
  • Intervention: Plan and execute intervention programmes for students with autism in group or individual settings, providing coaching and guidance to key partners to apply educational and behavioural techniques.
  • Leadership Duties: Articulate the Autism Therapist’s/Psychologist’s role, scope, and responsibilities to teachers, other school professionals, administrators, support personnel, families, and the community, positively influencing the development of programs and policies & procedures to promote best practice in Autism Therapists service provision.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor in Psychology (Honours) or Masters in Educational Psychology or equivalent, strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced work environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, flexibility and adaptability to changes and different perspectives, and a desire to learn about Autism and the passion to serve the autism community and their families.
