We are seeking a skilled academic editor to enhance the quality and readability of our publications in the field of social sciences.


Job Description:


This role involves editing and polishing academic papers in the Social Sciences to improve language clarity, grammatical accuracy, readability, stylistic consistency, fluency, formatting, and adherence to international journal standards.

Edit tables, figures, and other academic conventions according to journal requirements to ensure compliance with submission guidelines. Maintain effective communication with authors and reviewers, answering questions related to language editing and ensuring an efficient editing process.

Contribute to updating and maintaining the journal's language style guide, ensuring overall language quality and consistency.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


A Master's degree or higher in a related field of social sciences (e.g., Management, Library and Information Science, Psychology, Economics, etc.) is preferred.

Solid knowledge of social science disciplines with the ability to understand and edit related professional terminology and academic content.
Native English speakers are preferred.
Proficient in English with strong writing and editing skills, capable of high-quality academic paper editing, detail-oriented.

Familiar with international academic journal submission and editing standards, and knowledge of the Layout Manual of Style.

Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit, able to maintain good working relationships with authors, reviewers, and other editorial staff.

Proficiency in MS Word (including Track Changes) and other relevant tools.
