Job Opportunity: Legal Advisor

About the Role

  • Our organization seeks a skilled legal advisor to provide comprehensive guidance on Singaporean law, encompassing applicable regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Advisory Services:
    • Offer expert advice to business departments, Managing Directors, and traders on drafting legal opinions, commercial contracts, and standard terms and conditions.
    • Review and negotiate contracts to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions:
    • Provide strategic legal support for business development activities, such as establishing new joint ventures, divestments, and acquisitions.
    • Assist in negotiating corporate transactions, preparing legal notes, and coordinating with risk/compliance teams.
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Oversee company incorporation, corporate secretarial, business registration, and renewal matters.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable laws on corporate governance.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Develop, review, and evaluate internal policies to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university and be admitted to the Singapore bar.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in a law firm or as a legal counsel, preferably covering trading & distribution, property development, construction, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law, and litigation.
