Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned corporate attorney to lead our legal team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as providing strategic legal advice on local and international laws and regulations.

The role requires the ability to oversee the legal aspects of business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments. The successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting in corporate secretarial matters, such as company incorporation, renewal, and registration.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver expert legal guidance and provide strategic legal advice on Singaporean and international laws, regulations, and company policies to various business departments and managing directors.
  • Lead the legal team in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Oversee the legal aspects of business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestments.
  • Assist in corporate secretarial matters, such as company incorporation, renewal, and registration.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in law (LLB) from a reputable university and admission to the Singapore bar.
  • A minimum of 8-12 years of experience in law firms or as an in-house lawyer, preferably with expertise in trading, distribution, property development, construction, general corporate law, and litigation.
  • Ability to travel to Malaysia for M&A opportunities.
