Business Development Opportunity
This is a business development opportunity for an individual who can drive revenue growth and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
The role of the Business Development Professional involves generating revenue and building strong customer relationships through face-to-face sales visits, reports, and pipeline movement tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers to resolve any queries or issues in a timely manner.
- Manage a portfolio of existing and potential customers through regular communication and follow-up.
- Produce reports for management to evaluate performance against key performance indicators.
- Cordinate and manage customer issues relating to service recovery and credit control.
- Discuss personal sales strategy and plan with Marketing and Sales management on a regular basis.
- Develop a weekly customer visit cycle to secure Ship-To-Profile of existing customers and identify new business opportunities.
- Submit GSP sales reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Report pipeline movement to Sales Management on a weekly basis.
- Maintain regional/country standard profit margins and discount guidelines.
- Formulate a personal sales plan that includes initiatives for identifying and gaining new business prospects.
- Build strong client relationships to reduce attrition rates and minimize opportunities for competitors.
- Convert qualified leads into customers and develop existing accounts.
- Stay up-to-date with commercial awareness and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with excellent numeric and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team to deliver results.
- Ability to maintain effective performance under pressure.
- Preferably a degree in Business or equivalent.
