Job Description
  • Perform comprehensive maintenance services, including planning, troubleshooting and repair of marine propulsion equipment.
  • Conduct field service reports, capturing before and after photos, and deliver detailed client reports.
  • Oversee commissioning of new gearboxes through yard, basin and sea trials, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Develop expertise in interpreting electrical drawings and performing basic fault analysis on electrical systems with minimal guidance.
  • Collaborate with Workshop Manager to generate parts quotations for procurement and preparation of spares for repairs and overhauls.
  • Lead daily Toolbox meetings and maintain strict adherence to workplace safety and health practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required within the workshop environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the marine industry, specifically in propulsion.
  • Ability to perform troubleshooting on propulsion-related equipment with minimal guidance.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for assignments.
  • Flexibility to deploy at short notice periods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
