Job Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Service Engineer to work on marine propulsion equipment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services on major OEM marine propulsion equipment, including planning, troubleshooting, diagnosing, minor repair, and complete overhaul.
  • Generate field service reports with photographs of before and after repair for clients.
  • Commission new gearboxes, involving yard, basin, and sea trials.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and perform basic troubleshooting of faults on electrical systems with minimal guidance.
  • Assist the workshop manager in preparing quotations for spare parts procurement.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure compliance with workplace safety and health practices.
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as required in the workshop.
  • Requirements:
  • At least a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the marine industry in propulsion.
  • Able to perform troubleshooting on propulsion-related equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Required to travel overseas for assignments.
  • Must be able to deploy within short notice periods.
  • Must possess good verbal and written English communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
