Job Title: Senior Wall and Floor Specialist

Job Description:
  • Preparing Surfaces: As a senior wall and floor specialist, you will be responsible for cleaning, levelling and waterproofing surfaces, as well as removing old grout and cement to prepare them for tiling.
  • Cutting and Shaping Tiles: You will use hand and power tools to cut tiles to fit around obstacles and into tight spaces, ensuring a precise fit every time.
  • Creating Tile Beds: Using a range of tools, including screeds, brushes and trowels, you will form tile beds using concrete, plaster, cement, glue or mortar to create a solid foundation for your work.
  • Laying and Grouting Tiles: With attention to detail and a focus on quality, you will lay and grout tiles evenly and cleanly, creating a seamless finish that enhances the overall aesthetic of a space.
  • Installing Tiles: Tapping tiles into place with precision and care, you will adhere them securely to the base, ensuring a durable and long-lasting finish.
  • Polishing and Surfacing: Working with granite and marble, you will polish and surface these materials to bring out their natural beauty and enhance their appearance.
  • Creating Designs: Using mosaic tiles, you will create decorative wall and floor designs that add visual interest and personality to a space.
  • Working with Other Tradespeople: Collaborating with other professionals, you will consult with project managers and clients to ensure a cohesive and successful outcome.
  • Ordering Materials: Responsible for sourcing and ordering materials and parts, you will ensure that all necessary items are available when needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will require strong technical skills, including proficiency in tile laying, cutting and shaping, as well as experience working with various types of flooring materials. Additionally, excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
