The Senior Risk Management Specialist in Singapore will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing financial, insurance, and operational risks, including those related to information technology, in alignment with AXA Group's policies and methodologies. This position aims to foster a supportive environment for business units to operate within established risk appetite limits while maintaining effective communication with local regulatory bodies and management on risk-related matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your primary responsibilities will include:

· Ensuring the comprehensive execution of risk governance in accordance with AXA Group's guidelines and local regulatory standards for the Singapore branch.

· Coordinating the second line of defense to maintain a uniform approach to various risk assessments conducted within the Singapore branch.

· Identifying, evaluating, and managing local financial, insurance, and operational risks in accordance with AXA Group's policies, collaborating with Centres of Excellence (COEs) and the regional Risk Management leadership.

· Providing support for risk-related activities across the Asia region as needed.

· Establishing and monitoring a Risk Appetite framework for all risk categories based on local decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with AXA Group's risk appetite and regulatory requirements to mitigate potential losses.

· Assisting the head office in delivering pertinent risk reports to the risk monitoring committee.

· Cultivating a conducive environment for risk management in terms of metrics, standards, and culture to ensure adherence to defined risk appetite limits.

· Ensuring compliance with AXA Group's risk management policies and contributing to the development of the local Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, participating in relevant local and regional management committees as necessary.

· Overseeing the implementation of risk management practices specific to the Singapore branch, considering local regulations and unique circumstances.

· Defining risk alerts and limits for each risk category through macro-statements and functional indicators, alongside local stress scenarios, to be monitored quarterly within the Risk Appetite Framework.

· Supporting independent evaluations of AXA Group's significant decision-making processes, including new product development and strategic initiatives.

· Conducting an annual review to identify key operational risks associated with current and future strategic activities, ensuring that risks remain within acceptable tolerance levels and that all operational incidents are documented and escalated appropriately.

· Following up on action plans resulting from internal and external reviews.

· Coordinating the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process locally and contributing to local regulatory reports.

· Maintaining ongoing dialogue with business units, supported by an emerging risks management framework for early risk detection.

· Delivering risk training to key personnel and conducting awareness campaigns for all employees.

· Assisting in the rollout and implementation of the Internal Control framework, reinforcing second line of defense controls in line with COE initiatives, and identifying key controls for regular monitoring.

· Building and maintaining strong relationships with local regulatory authorities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

· A Bachelor's degree in risk management, statistics, actuarial science, economics, business administration, or a related field.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

· A minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry or a similar field is preferred.

· Strong networking and influencing capabilities.

· Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Experience working within a complex regulatory environment.

· Excellent negotiation and communication skills, particularly with senior leadership.

· Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.

· A proactive approach to identifying issues and opportunities, along with the ability to implement effective solutions.

· Proven experience in navigating complex organizational structures and engaging with multiple stakeholders.

· Strong analytical skills with a track record of delivering quality results under tight deadlines.
