Job Title: Senior Nursing Manager
Job Description:
The organization seeks a seasoned Senior Nursing Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursing department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Nursing Assistants/Health Assistants under your charge.
- Compliance with all nursing standards as stipulated by MOH and SNB.
- Leadership in quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care.
- Planning and conducting periodic quality audits with follow-up corrective improvements.
- Ensuring up-to-date written policies and SOPs guide nursing practices.
- Providing direct patient care to ensure compliance with standards.
- Smooth transition of residents from acute to chronic care and back to community where possible.
- Adequate manpower resourcing for shifts and services under your purview.
- Staff development through training, online learning, or formal education opportunities.
- Orientation and preceptorship programs for new staff.
- Roster preparation and daily staff assignment for the ward/department.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Promoting evidence-based practices in nursing care delivery.
- Demonstrating awareness of current nursing and healthcare practices.
- Monitoring trends and changing needs of patients in institutional settings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred.
- Registration with Singapore Nursing Board.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and management skills.
- Strong sense of integrity.
- Good interpersonal and supervisory skills.
