Job Overview

The Youth Support Worker provides care and guidance to female adolescents who have faced trauma or neglect. This role focuses on enhancing the well-being and quality of life for residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out daily operational tasks and supervise residents in their regular activities.
  • Assist residents with day-to-day issues at the treatment centre, ensuring their welfare and safety.
  • Promote discipline among residents and serve as a mentor/role model.
  • Respond to crises or conflicts and provide individual therapeutic interventions based on care plans.
  • Contribute to meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, mental, educational, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with youth at-risk.
  • Basic processing and counselling skills.
  • Knowledge of common issues related to trauma and abuse.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends/public holidays.
