Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish new contacts and build relationships with clients through effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Attend daily and weekly commercial meetings to drive progress and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Manage tendering processes including complaints and dispute resolution through professional negotiation and conflict resolution techniques.
  • Ensure RFQ technical, regulatory and commercial compliance by maintaining accurate records and adhering to company policies.
  • Update relevant masterlists and ERP systems to reflect changes in project status and requirements.
  • Prepare handovers of awarded tenders to ensure seamless transition and minimize disruptions.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and work orders raised by SCM to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Source, select and review subcontractors assisted by the operations team to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Assist with change order requests during construction stages to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption.
  • Support service reports requested by the operations team to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in quantity surveying, Construction Management, Business or equivalent.
  • Certifications related to contract management, procurement or project management (e.g., MRICS, PMP) are a plus.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of relevant experience in a commercial/contracts/tendering role, ideally in construction, marine or oil & gas industries.
  • Experience handling RFQs, tenders, purchase orders and subcontractor engagement processes.
  • Familiarity with project handover procedures and cost tracking during construction.
  • Strong understanding of tendering processes, contractual terms and commercial negotiations.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing and submitting quotations, proposals and contract documents.
  • Familiarity with procurement practices, including sourcing and evaluating subcontractors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to maintain professional relationships with clients and subcontractors.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, especially when dealing with complaints and disputes.
  • Detail-oriented and structured approach to managing commercial data.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and attend regular cross-functional meetings.
