Product Design Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. With expertise in mechanical systems, robotics, and software engineering, you will design and develop customised drones for industrial applications.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Development: Utilise CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) to create mechanical components and systems, with structural, thermal, and CFD simulation.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with engineering and project teams to integrate components and align with project goals.
  • Prototyping: Rapidly prototype using 3D printing, CNC machining, and various fabrication methods.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct mechanical, flight, and environmental tests to verify design performance and reliability.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues encountered during testing or production.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of designs, test results, and standard operating procedures.
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects from concept to delivery, managing timelines and resources.
  • Client Interaction: Interface with clients to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Experience in product design and working in the cross-section of additive manufacturing and drone technologies.
  • Design for additive manufacturing knowledge.
  • Possess CAD skills (Solidworks, Autocad).
  • Interested in drone, UAV-related technology, and additive manufacturing.
  • Able to work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Meticulous and responsible.
  • Independent but understands the importance of teamwork.
