Unix Systems Expert

We are seeking an experienced Unix systems expert to oversee the management and optimization of our Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining RHEL systems, designing and implementing OpenShift container platforms, administering JBoss application servers, and utilizing Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain RHEL systems across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Design, implement, and support OpenShift container platforms.
  • Administer and troubleshoot JBoss application servers.
  • Utilize Red Hat Satellite for system provisioning, patching, and configuration management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux administration, with a focus on RHEL.
  • Strong knowledge of OpenShift container platform administration.
  • Experience with JBoss application server management.
  • Proficiency in using Red Hat Satellite for system management.
Required Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of RHEL system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and at least one programming language (e.g., Python).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
Preferred Skills:
  • Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or higher).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
