Job Title: Inclusive Preschool Director

Description:

The primary objective of this role is to develop and implement inclusive preschool philosophies while advocating for the growth of inclusive preschools in a given area. This will involve leading planning and implementation efforts for school events and activities, fostering engagement with parents and the community, and overseeing curriculum development and team mentorship.

A key aspect of this role is to ensure that children from diverse backgrounds can learn, play, and grow together in a supportive environment, developing emotional resilience and compassion as future citizens. The director must also guarantee the operational efficiency and viability of the preschool, implementing policies and processes to ensure quality standards are met.

This position requires strong leadership qualities, excellent planning and interpersonal skills, creativity, and passion for inclusive education. A good understanding of current early childhood care and education theories, research, and practices is essential. Familiarity with relevant licensing and accreditation requirements is also necessary.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in a leadership role within early childhood education settings. They must possess adequate knowledge of ECDA preschool licensing and SPARK accreditation, along with good communication and management skills.

The director will be responsible for supervising staff performance, planning and reviewing their professional development, and ensuring consistent quality standards across all areas, including learning programs, operations, administration, health, and safety. They will work closely with curriculum specialists and engage with public and parental feedback to improve services.
