Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our Japan Equity Sales team as an Associate. The role will involve servicing institutional equity clients and distributing Nomura's research content and single stock ideas.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of cash equity sales experience, with a proven track record of success in Japan market. They will be responsible for partnering closely with internal stakeholders to drive monetization of Nomura's equity content business and Syndicate deals.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for line up cross-sell opportunities for our execution services and non-cash offerings, as well as supporting the Japan sales team on client requests.

Idea generation for corporate access events is also a key responsibility of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of cash Equity sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years of cash equity sales experience in Japan market
  • Minimum 2 years of experience dealing with Japanese clients requires regular interaction with Japanese-speaking clients
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; coupled with good marketing and presentation skills
  • A passion for financial markets, ideally demonstrated through past internships in the financial industry and curriculum
