Job Description

The role of a Senior Energy Analyst is to analyze and develop strategies for reducing the climate impact of the transport sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with stakeholders in Asia-Pacific countries to shape new policies.

Key Responsibilities:"
  1. ">
  2. Analyzing and dissecting data and complex policy issues from sources such as scientific studies, reports, and models.">
  3. Developing briefings and inputs into advocacy and campaign materials based on robust data, evidence, and argumentation.">
  4. Advocating T&E's position to policymakers at national, regional, and international levels, politicians, business leaders, civil society actors, and our international network.">
  5. Converting large datasets or complex policy implications into clear, robust charts.">
  6. Carrying out technical analyses related to biomass, biofuels, and renewable fuels of non-biological origin in Excel and Python-based models, and translating findings into accessible data visualizations and policy messages.">
">Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven expertise in and knowledge of the energy system, alternative fuel production, and/or biofuel supply chains are essential. Strong analytical skills, ability to quickly grasp technical issues, assess data, and good knowledge of Excel or other modeling tools are required.

Relevant professional experience working on technical issues in the environmental or energy sectors, or in a research institution, is highly valued. Project management experience including strong interpersonal and team-working skills and ability to deliver to tight deadlines is also necessary.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Singapore. While we offer a very flexible working environment, the successful candidate will be expected to spend at least 3 days per week in the office.
