Job Title: Senior Computer Technician

Equipment Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our equipment management processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough hardware inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with CPU, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, and battery health.
  • Perform repairs, upgrades, or refurbishments to maximize equipment resale or reuse value while ensuring environmentally responsible practices.
  • Categorize equipment into resellable, recyclable, and parts-harvesting categories for efficient asset management.
  • Lead data wiping processes using Blancco software aligned with NIST 800-88 and DoD 5220.22-M standards or customer policies.
  • Validate and document data destruction certificates for audit trails and compliance purposes.
  • Operate and maintain degaussers/shredders for secure disposal of drives that cannot be wiped.
  • Maintain strict chain of custody procedures to prevent data leakage during equipment handling.
Key Skills:
  • Proficiency in Mac operating systems and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with experience in hardware and electronics repair.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components, including laptops and electrical systems.
  • Experience with web applications, manufacturing processes, and auditing procedures.
  • Strong technical support background with expertise in mechanical engineering and electronics.
