Job Title: Chief Product Designer

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned mechanical engineer to lead product development from concept to production.

The ideal candidate will spearhead mechanical product development, prioritizing thermal and structural considerations.

Key responsibilities include strategic design leadership, product development lifecycle management, design for manufacture optimization, material selection, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship & oversight.

  • Strategic Design Leadership: Develop and execute mechanical product strategies.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Own the mechanical development process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Design for Manufacture: Optimize designs for injection molding and other high-volume production methods.
  • Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials balancing performance and cost.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with engineers to integrate mechanical components.
  • Mentorship & Oversight: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in mechanical product development.
  • Expertise in plastic part design, injection molding, and DFM principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and mechanical simulation tools.
