Editorial Lead for Southeast Asia

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to spearhead our editorial efforts in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

This role demands a deep understanding of the region's music landscape, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record of driving audience development, artist discovery, and brand elevation.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creative vision, analytical acumen, and strategic thinking, enabling them to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive editorial strategy for the region, focusing on curating and elevating music across multiple genres and languages.
  • Managing and motivating a high-performing team of editors, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Collaborating with global and regional teams to drive programming initiatives and enhance Spotify's market position.

To succeed in this role, you must be a forward-thinking tastemaker with a strong editorial voice, able to critically evaluate music trends, emerging movements, and audience behavior beyond mere data. Additionally, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence across complex partner networks and comfortable with senior management interactions.

Preferred qualifications include at least 10+ years of experience in the music industry, journalism, or digital media, with a proven track record of team management and cultural expertise. Experience in leading multi-language editorial portfolios is a significant plus.

This role will be based in Singapore, offering the flexibility to work where you work best while allowing for some in-person meetings.
